GLOBAL RECYCLING DAY COMMEMORATION
To commemorate Global Recycling Day for year 2022, the Corp Members in LAWMA together with LAWMA Academy Interns, LAWMA Recycling Team and LAWMA Academy Staff went on an awareness walk aimed at sensitizing people about Recycling.
The walk which was carried out in Surulere saw the team talk to people about proper waste management practices, sorting of waste, utilizing the PAKAM app to get value from recyclable waste and the need to have bins to aid waste segregation. The message was passed in English, Yoruba, Hausa and Igbo language to ensure that everyone understood the message and its importance.
Purple nylons were shared to be used to store recyclables and the PAKAM app was also installed for people who expressed interest in the app.
